1. Kitchen waste oil slurry enters the rotating bowl through the feed pipe.

What is the difference between a two-phase and a three-phase decanter centrifuge?

A two-phase decanter separates solids and one liquid phase. A three-phase tricanter centrifuge separates solids, light liquid, and heavy liquid at the same time. For kitchen waste oil recovery, a three-phase tricanter is usually preferred because the feed contains oil, water, and solid residue.

Is heating required before separation?

In many kitchen waste oil applications, heating helps reduce viscosity and improve oil release. The required heating condition depends on oil type, emulsion condition, solids content, and target recovery rate.

Is demulsification required?

If the oil is strongly emulsified, demulsification or conditioning may be required before centrifuge separation. If the oil exists mainly as free oil, heating and mechanical pretreatment may be enough.
