The Foam Drop Ball Rebound Tester complies with ASTM D3574 and ISO 8307 test standards, as well as Japanese urethane foam SESN 3296 specifications for automotive seat cushion testing. This precision instrument is specifically designed for measuring the falling ball rebound performance of flexible polyurethane foam materials.
Testing Principle
The instrument utilizes a steel ball with specified diameter and mass that freely falls onto the foam sample from a predetermined height. It calculates the maximum rebound height of the steel ball and determines the percentage ratio between rebound height and drop height, known as the rebound rate. This rebound rate accurately represents the foam's rebound performance characteristics.
